When I am weak.

I love that I can depend on God to speak through his Word. This morning, I opened the book of Psalms to find hope and encouragement. I really needed it. Really.

Out of His hand came these wonderful passages. First, Psalm 85:8-13 reads as follows:

8 Let me hear what God the LORD will speak,
for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints;
but let them not turn back to folly.
9 Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him,
that glory may dwell in our land.
10 Steadfast love and faithfulness meet;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs up from the ground,
and righteousness looks down from the sky.
12 Yes, the LORD will give what is good,
and our land will yield its increase.
13 Righteousness will go before him
and make his footsteps a way.

And then in Psalm 145:14-21:

14 The LORD upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
16 You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works.
18 The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
he also hears their cry and saves them.
20 The LORD preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD,
and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

I pray that God will anchor those thoughts in my soul.

    If anyone reads your comments, I want them to know that God is certainly at work.This morning Shaun was long gone to work when I arose at 8:00 to read my Bible (which I haven’t been doing consistently, but have committed to begin doing this week)…so I read through some of the Psalms. I landed on Psalm 145: 14-19. God really used it to speak to me and I felt it applied directly to some trials we are experiencing. I promptly texted Shaun the passage and his reply : “Read my blog”God is good. He is using his word and this passage directly to give hope. God knows our situation and He is not absent. Not now. Not ever. I love you Shaun. Hang in there.
